TRAINING OF TEACHERS:

• The project of training teachers has proved to be one of the most impressive and cost effective initiative conducted by EFHS that has had a highly positive impact.
• EFHS had been convinced that teachers who skip the lesson describing the reproductive system of humans listed in the biology curriculum of preparatory schools, do that because they are not willing to discuss sensitive issues but rather because they had been unable to provide accurate answers asked by the students following this lesson.
• The Society designed a training program aiming at providing biology teachers; not only scientific knowledge but rather to take this opportunity and demonstrate the principles of interactive and participatory learning.
• Eight training workshops were conducted to train 280 biology teachers; both males and females from preparatory, secondary and technical schools from all governorates.
• The success of the project has been evaluated as highly successful not only because of completion of training but also by the most wonderful and remarkable observations and comments about the positive change of attitudes and teaching practices of many of the trained teachers.
