YOUTH-FRIENDLY CLINICS:

• • In the year 2005, EFHS collaborated with the Ministry of Health in establishing and operating youth-friendly clinics in the 9 Teaching Hospitals affiliated to the MOH (4 in Cairo- Shebin El-Kom – Damanhour – Benha – Sohag and Aswan). A group of physicians and secretaries were
    trained and the Society supervised over the operational and marketing aspects of these clinics.
  • A youth-friendly clinic was established by the Society in 2011 within the campus of Assiut University. EFHS trained a team of physicians from the Public Health Department, secretaries and peers.
  • A similar youth-friendly clinic was established within the campus of Suez Canal University in 2014 and also trained the team of service providers and a large group of peers to help with promoting utilization by other students. The clinic was operated for 2 years by EFHS, then left to be run by the Medical School.
  • All youth-friendly clinics established in Egypt; whether by the EFHS, Ministry of Health or other organizations could not achieve any success and were rarely utilized by the targeted population of young people.
