NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE:
Since returning back to Egypt in the year 1979, I have been devoting all my time and efforts in scientific and community work for improving of health determinants of the Egyptian families in the area of:
- The population problem and family planning,
- Reproductive health information and health,
- Young people’s reproductive health,
- Adolescent Medicine and health.
- Liver diseases
Activities included:
- Health education and behavior change communication at a national level in the Universities and schools, vast experience all over the country.
- Media activities including a national television weekly program for 3 years.
- Capacity building of physicians and school teachers. Facilitated more than 100 training workshops in Egypt.
- Organized and presided over 24 national conferences.
- Social Marketing for contraceptives nationwide.
- Established several youth-friendly clinics in Egypt.
- Advocacy for family planning, youth sexual and reproductive health and Adolescent Medicine.
- Establishing and operating a Liver Diseases Hospital
